In March 2001 I had a snowboard accident and broke my back. Now I'm paralysed from the waist down. Before this time I've always been in-line skating, snowboarding, skateboarding, and wakeboarding. Because my passion to do these sports is so big I started looking for a way to do my sports in an alternative way.
Joel Berman lost his left leg above the knee in a Chicago, IL railroad accident in the summer of 1981. After three years of rehabilitation, Joel re-entered the workforce and began participating in adaptive sports & recreation.
