Jon has been skiing since he was a child, and was re-introduced to the sport through the National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic, where he met Scott Olson who encouraged him to ski for the National Sports Center for the Disabled in Winter Park CO.
In 2011 he began training full time with the Aspen Valley Ski Club (AVSC). He had a banner year in 2012 capturing 7 Podiums,(3 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze medals) Including two National Championships in Downhill and Super G and qualified for World Cup. He is a four time National Champion, is in his 3rd year as a member of the US Paralympic Alpine Ski Team, competed in Sochi in the 2014 Paralympic games and was the opening ceremony flag bearer.
