Description:
Two Top Mountain Adaptive Sports Foundation is a P.S.I.A-E Ski School. Co-founder, Bill Dietrich, is a P.S.I.A-E Alpine Level 3 with over 25 years teaching experience. Our adaptive program caters to skiers and snowboarders with a wide range of disabilities, including physical and motor; cognitive and social; and sensory disabilities. Lessons are by reservation only and offered seven days a week.
Winter activities are based at Whitetail Resort in Mercersburg, Pennsylvania, about 75 miles from Washington D.C. and Baltimore. In addition, we offer summer sporting opportunities in cycling, waterskiing and introduction to kayaking.
With our proximity to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center we have naturally focused on providing our combat wounded and disabled veterans the opportunity to learn to ski or snowboard while focusing on their abilities, not disabilities. Our daily program offers a positive transition for the veterans and their families into life with their disability, allowing them to overcome adversity by experiencing the thrill of skiing and riding.
We have the equipment and instructors to provide a wide range of sporting opportunities for students of all ages. Skiing (standard skis, bi-skis or mono-skis) and snowboarding.
This winter, Two Top will become the first Demo Center for the Bartlett Tendon Knee. We will be working in partnership with Ability Prosthetics from Hagerstown, MD. Our program encourages amputees to wear their prosthetics when skiing or snowboarding. Please email or call for details.
