CDA deploys integrated adventure to educate clients - as well as their families and friends - about the power of the outdoors to foster self-worth.
Common Ground has the capability of taking all physical abilities down the slopes of Beaver Mountain. We have adult and youth size mono-skis and we also can take people who are blind or visually impaired skiing.
Every winter, people with diabilities throughout the region enjoy the thrill of skiing and snowboarding with the Crotched Mountain Accessible Recreation and Sports (CMARS) program. Our certified recreation therapists and trained volunteers offer lessons to people with disabilities at all ski levels.
We have the equipment and instructors to provide a wide range of activities for students of all ages. Skiing (standard skis, bi-skis or mono-skis) and snowboarding. Reservations are required.
The Double H Ranch Adaptive Winter Sports Program, established in 1998, offers children ages 6-16 dealing with chronic and life-threatening illnesses the opportunity to participate in various winter sports in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains FREE of charge with necessary equipment provided.
